The Stables is located in the middle of the Longère adjoining the Dairy and our house. It has its own private gravelled patio with well ( covered and child safe ) and enjoys use of all the shared gardens and grounds It dates from 1778 and has been completely refurbished to a high level of comfort whilst retaining its original large fireplace and wooden beams. It is hard to believe now that it was once the home of horses!
The downstairs is open plan.
» Kitchen - fully fitted modern kitchen, gas cooker ( 4 burner hob / oven / grill ), microwave, fridge ( with freezer compartment ), dishwasher, electric kettle and coffee machine. It is fully equipped with ample crockery, glasses, cooking utensils.
» Dining area - dining table and chairs for up to 6 people.
» Lounge - original wooden beams, magnificent inglenook fireplace with a log burning stove, comfortable settee & armchairs, DVD player and television, stereo (CD) radio. Internet access.
» First floor - three bedrooms, ( one double, one twin, one single ) . Each have wardrobes, chest of drawers and electric heaters. Duvets, blankets and pillows are provided. Cot available, free of charge. Bed linen is available on request at a cost of 8 euros per bed per week.
» Bathroom - newly fitted, bath with integral shower and washbasin. Separate toilet with washbasin.
Electricity – metered electricity. Chargeable at 0.15 euros per kwh Firewood charged per cubic metre
» Grounds – private gravelled patio, BBQ, garden furniture
» Utility – Laundry room nearby, clothes airer, iron and ironing board in the gîte.
